A Montessori fine-motor toy handmade in Latvia. Three graded beech cylinders in a birch block, sized for a baby's whole-hand palmar grasp.

Three wooden cylinders, three different sizes, one birch block to lift them from. Each one is made to be gripped with the whole hand, the palmar grasp that comes long before tidy fingers do.

Your baby wraps a fist around a cylinder, pulls it free, and pushes it back, building the grip strength and coordination that every later skill is built on.

Care

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry straight away; no soaking, no dishwasher.
Once a year (or when the wood looks thirsty), rub in a drop of food-safe oil or beeswax balm with a soft cloth.
Wood is a living material: small shifts in grain and tone are part of the toy, not a fault.
